[ It's obvious when the feed begins that the 'Gear is being held by something... exceptionally tall. The camera tilts and turns a bit, catching a flash of orange from the camera holder, Kalana the Dragonite, as she tries to figure out how it works. The bits of blurring scenery show bits of Route 35, near a watery place. It's one of Talim's favorite spots to train.

Finally it comes to rest on Talim and her Finneon, Lidi. Talim is by the water's edge, while Lidi is in the water near the shore, staring down the wild Yanma who had surprised them. ]

Use Water Pulse, Lidi.

[ At her trainer's direction, the Finneon does so, striking the Yanma square in the face, sending it flying backwards. It gets up, but it's clearly disoriented. ]

Gust should do it. Go on!

[ Lidi leaps from the water, flapping her tail wings. The force of the gust sends the Yanma flying even further back into the brush. It does not reemerge.

Talim turns to congratulate her pokémon, but what's this? Lidi is evolving! The Finneon begins to glow and change, until finally:

Talim lets out a little gasp. ]

Oh, Lidi! Congratulations!

Where can Yuma get a pretty fish like that?

[ Talim glances up, and motions for her Dragonite to hand the 'Gear over. She does. ]

I'm not really sure. I got this one as an egg- I've never seen another one in Johto.

It must really like you if it came just for you, miss.

[... wait--] Oh... Yuma didn't know fish came out of eggs. Don't they come out of the water?

I think she was an Easter gift, though I'm not sure from who.

...Everything here comes out of an egg, apparently. Even mammals.

[processing... processing... ... OH MY GOD] Y-You mean whenever Yuma ate breakfast, she was eating baby kitties and puppies!?

It's a holiday. Primarily Christian, but I suppose Johto celebrates it as well.

[ OH GOD ] No no no! I think the eggs you eat are different than pokémon eggs!

Primarily Christ... [headtilt] Like Christmas?

[OH THANK GOD ;^;] G-Good! Yuma wouldn't want to eat those!

Yes. Like Christmas.

[ You poor thing ] Don't worry about it. I don't think we're allowed to eat pokémon in any form.

... Yuma doesn't think that sounds like much fun. [Because her Christmas probably was stay in your room mama is drinking/mama is drinking, be the target for my bottles.]

Good. Yuma doesn't want to eat Kyubey!

Oh, Easter was very fun. I haven't experienced a Christmas here yet.

[ She tilts her head a little ] Is Kyubey your pokémon?

How was it fun? What was it like?

[She nods!] She's a kitty. She's really good at pushing buttons and hugging.

There were festivals with all sorts of food, and an egg hunt.

[ a little laugh ] Pushing buttons? Did she turn your 'gear on?

That sounds really fun...!

[Yuma pauses. That's the... camera phone thing. Right.] Yeah, she did. Yuma's still not good at it.

It's taken me a long time to get used to it, too. We don't have anything like this where I'm from.

What do you have instead?

Messengers. People who deliver messages by horse, or foot. Sometimes by bird.

Can't you use a mailman?

... That's what a messenger is, though. At least in a very basic sense.

But with animals...?

That sounds a lot more fun than being a regular mailman.

[ She laughs ] I suppose it would be.

Maybe Yuma should be one!

Do you have the right sort of animals for the job?

Right now, Yuma has a kitty and a...

A... fluff? I'm afraid I don't know what that is.
