Alun! You leave him alone! [ The sounds of a Scyther and a Pidgey squabbling can be heard in the background. ] Alun! Hey-!

[ The video clicks off for a moment. When it clicks back on, it's right-side-up, and Talim looks a little frazzled ]

Um. I was wondering. What do you do when one of your pokémon is a little... unruly?

I usually find something to keep them busy. [ ... sadly, this applies more to Riku and Sora than it does to her own Pokémon, but HEY IT WORKS. ]

I keep them confined to their Pokeball.

That's by no means a permanent solution, and it seems unfair to only let him out for battles.

No, it certainly isn't. However they learn that by behaving, they are allowed to roam as they please.

[Squalo's getting a breath of fresh air - he's jobbing at the pokémon center currently, and decided he wanted to have breakfast outside after two boring hours of pushing paperwork this way and that. The divebombing attempt narrowly misses him, but the pidgey in question dumps his load right on his food. Naturally, that's Squalo's cue- ]

You can try keeping him in the pokéball. But then you have to hope he let himself out...one of mine does that. I haven't really found a good way of working with my more badly behaved pokémon yet...

[He just lets them walk all over him. He's the best trainer ever.]

My Gastly is the same way. Only he...pranks people. Mostly me. Luckily he hasn't managed to hurt any one yet. Have you tried anything else other than keeping him in the ball though?

You just have to be forceful with them. If they're a handful, find something to distract them or punish them somehow, even if it's just putting them back in their Pokéballs.

It can be rough sometimes. They might try and guilt you or fight back.

But you can't let that stop you.
