But while she believes strongly in herself, she does ask for guidance and aid from the wind. She has a positive outlook, but seems to realize the serious nature of what she is fighting against. He thinks he's a whole lot bigger than he is, and will often fling himself at opponents at the slightest provocation- regardless of size, or level. She has been working with him, though, in attempt to break him of his violent streak. In fact, she charged him with guarding her Dratini egg, which seemed to help greatly. As a result, he's very protective of Kalana, despite being smaller than she is. Talim named him Alun, after the bird she has at home.

Arcturus is an absolute sweetheart, and maybe a little naive. He loves giving gifts, which was a real problem to start, since he would hand random strangers a glowing orb from his tail and it would explode half the time. Worried that her pokémon would hurt someone, Talim conferred with one of the Nurse Joys, who taught Arcturus some basic origami. Now Arcturus carries a small pouch of folded paper creations to hand to people and pokémon they encounter on their travels. He is named after a kind, if slightly misguided, soul that Talim encountered on her journey for Soul Edge.

So as a Quilava she turned a little spiteful, kept to herself, and generally felt lonely without feeling like she was able to do much about it. Arcturus is an absolute sweetheart, and maybe a little naive. He loves giving gifts, which was a real problem to start, since he would hand random strangers a glowing orb from his tail and it would explode half the time. Worried that her pokémon would hurt someone, Talim conferred with one of the Nurse Joys, who taught Arcturus some basic origami. Now Arcturus carries a small pouch of folded paper creations to hand to people and pokémon they encounter on their travels. He is named after a kind, if slightly misguided, soul that Talim encountered on her journey for Soul Edge.

Ira is Italian for "wrath", which seems to suit her, since she's not a very happy individual. As a Cyndaquil she used to be very clingy, but eventually she just felt as if she was being left behind and abandoned by her trainer in favor of other pokémon. So as a Quilava she turned a little spiteful, kept to herself, and generally felt lonely without feeling like she was able to do much about it. Talim has been working with her, though, and the Typhlosion has a sort of begrudging fondness for her new trainer.
